Last Saturday we had a fantastic day at our TOPs Summer Fair which was extremely well supported, not just by our families but also by many of our new families who will be joining us in September.   It was busy from the moment it opened to when it closed and raise an incredible £2000 in one day, thank you all for supporting it!  We are investigating whether we can get a canopy for the field to provide shade on hot days with the money raised this year.  The Fair was very well organised with a huge range of stalls (including the Men’s Room barber shop which was massively popular and something I have never seen before at a Summer Fair!) and activities which were run by volunteers, staff and Premier Sports.  TOPs have also run our very first school book fair which has been really popular and great to see the children so enthused about books and reading.  Massive thanks to TOPs for organising such a fantastic event and everyone who donated their skills and time to support our school - you are all awesome!

On Thursday 6th July we were treated to Owl Classes brilliant assembly all about their learning experience 'Journey of a Lifetime'. First they described their classes journey this year from the 8 children who moved up from Year 1 and then all the disruption of 17 new children joining with some also leaving again.  They then shared the places they have 'visited' over the last term and some of the things they have learned.  We were really impressed with their Maori Haka and their poem to recite all of the American States!  The children were all amazing and the assembly was enjoyed by all!  Well done Owls :)
