We are very proud to be a Church of England School and our Christian Values of Joy, Integrity and Fellowship underpin all that we do in our school. Our Christian Values and our commitment to our foundation as a Church school is shown in our School Vision which you can find as an attachment to the side of the page and also under the Information tab on the menu bar above. In the sidebar on this page you will also find our schools definition of ‘Spirituality’ which forms the basis of our times of reflection and collective worship.
We are a Voluntary Aided maintained school and are in the Deanery of the Diocese of Peterborough and as a Church school we nurture the children in a Christian environment and celebrate the main Christian festivals as well as take part in a daily act of collective worship. Our children share our school prayer together each day as well as our lunchtime prayer. Wednesday Worship is regularly taken by the clergy from our two Churches Christ the King (www.ctk.org.uk) and St.Botolph’s (www.stbots.org.uk) and is focused on stories of the Bible and the teachings of Jesus.

We have a close working relationship with both of our churches who are integral to our school family. Representatives from both Churches are on our Governing board and we also have opportunities to visit both Churches through the year.
Please see our Religious Education I-I-I (Intent - Implementation - Impact) Statement in the sidebar for information about how we teach R.E. at Hayfield Cross Church of England School.
We had our first SIAMs Church School Inspection in March 2018. We are very pleased with the report which can be found in the documents section on this page.
