Vice-Chair of Quality and Standards: Foundation Governor

Personal Statement

I was first appointed as a foundation governor in September 2014 as part of the temporary governing body to oversee the formation of the school that has become Hayfield Cross Church of England School. Since its opening I have carried on as a foundation governor on the governing board. I attend Christ the King Church, Kettering, one of the two churches with links to the school.

My work as a governor involves me in a number of small working groups and as a named governor for a particular area of school. These are the Quality and Standards Committee (vice-chair), Early Years governor, Admissions Committee and the Ofsted working party.
I work as a draughtsman for a local, well-established firm. My wife works in a playschool attached to another local school, which my two children attended and where I was a parent governor for four years.
