Vice-Chair of Governors: Foundation Governor

Personal Statement

I am Associate Vicar at the Church of Christ the King, in Kettering and am one of the foundation governors with particular responsibility as lead Safeguarding Governor.

Before moving to Kettering in 2014, I was a curate in Leicester, where I was a community governor in our local authority school.

Prior to ordination, I worked as a professional violinist which included teaching violin in local schools and also privately. I also worked as a schools and children’s worker and thoroughly enjoyed taking many assemblies, leading drama and singing clubs and even writing a musical for Key Stage 2 about the Easter story (This Man Called Jesus), which was later published by Bible Reading Fellowship.

As one of the local clergy I have the privilege of visiting Hayfield Cross regularly for Wednesday Worship and it is great to sing songs as well as usually doing some sort of silly activity with the children and staff -  all based around a Bible story!
