DIWALI CELEBRATIONS
What a wonderful day we all had yesterday to celebrate the Festival of Diwali! The children spent all day participating in a range of activities to help them to gain a sense of Indian culture.
KS2 enjoyed making chapatis, creating lanterns, sculpting salt dough diwa lamps and doing some Indian dancing.
KS1 children painted rangoli patterns, made Indian sweets, learnt some Indian dance moves and enjoyed singing songs to celebrate the return of Rama and Sita.

Making Masterpieces...
We have a new gallery space in the Hub and the masterpieces filling it this term are courtesy of the wonderful artists in both Year 2 classes. We have been learning about L.S Lowry and his industrial landscapes and, after finding out about the features of his work, created our own fabulous versions.
