We are very proud to be a Church of England School and our Christian Values of Joy, Integrity and Fellowship flow through all that we do in our school.
Our school vision inspires us to be brave in our learning and all that we do. The passage in the story of Joshua reminds us that God has a purpose for each of us and will be with us on our journey. We named our curriculum the ‘Be Brave Curriculum’ to encourage children to be resilient and determined and enjoy the challenge in their learning. Our vision is summarised as:
Remember that I commanded you to be strong and brave. So don’t be afraid. The Lord your God will be with you everywhere you go’ (Joshua 1:9)
As the harvest grows from the soil, Hayfield Cross came to life in 2015. From nothing, we have grown at the heart of our new community, persevering through challenge into a flourishing school. Guided by our Christian values the seeds of Joy, Integrity and Fellowship are planted as we instil this pioneering spirit in our children, challenging them through exciting learning to aspire to greatness in all that they do.

Fundamental British Values
The fundamental values of Democracy, The Rule of Law, Individual Liberty, Mutual respect and Acceptance are interwoven through our curriculum as well as considered as part of our class reflection sessions. Details of this can be found in our British Values Policy (on the sidebar of this page) and also on the 'Whole school curriculum coverage maps' under the curriculum tab.
